Look, it's not your fault. With the newer builds running TP at full speed all the time, even in hyrule field and faron woods is close to impossible. You'll just have to accept that sooner or later, the emulator still has a lot of development left.

That's fine! But I saw that people were getting decent FPS other than Hyrule Field. My FPS was slightly struggling even in the village at the beginning(running about 75% speed). Just wondering if there's some mistake I'm overlooking.

Is it possible to go back to a previous release? I just see a lot of complaining about Hyrule Field...but I'm not even there and I'm having trouble.

Where to start... Ok well you can go back to an older release if you want and that probably will give you some more fps but in exchange you'll have...problems...that the newer builds don't. For example you may be able to run it full speed with the directx plugin, but no matter what you do the map and map screen won't show up (this makes it impossible to complete the game since you need the map screen to use midna's teleport power). You'll also experience crashes and some really bizarre audio problems, everything from looping to crackling to audio not working at all (they didn't get audio working in tp until 5/6 months ago). I can't even remember all of the problems I had with it when I first started using dolphin, it was completely unbearable 6 months ago, now it's great except for the low fps, so they have come a long way with the newer builds.

As to the other part of your question, yes, everyone has trouble. Hyrule field is the most talked about because it is the worst out of all of the places that have slowdowns. As you have no doubt gathered from reading this thread performance in hyrule field degrades over time so it may be running at a smooth 30 fps when you first get there but by the end of the game it will be running at say 5fps. Places that cause slowdowns that I know of are faron woods, hyrule field, kakariko village, and lake hylia. I didn't get very far into the game so that's all the ones I know off the top of my head.

With the newer builds I get about 45 fps in ordon village, 20 fps in faron woods and kakariko village (twilight version, I get 30 fps in regular kakariko), 20 fps in hyrule field, and 15 fps in lake hylia. But then again I have a core 2 quad running at 3.2GHz with a 12MB cache while you have a core 2 duo running at 2.4GHz with 3MB of cache, so your about where you should be, if you think it's slow now just wait till lake hylia.

The exact problem is that, i do it correct but without any success. It happens to all howl stones, What can i do ? I played all versions pal and USA for game cube, with no result. THE GAME WORKS PERFECT EXCEPT FOR HOWL STONES. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. IF YOU KNOW SOMETHING PLEASE INFORM ME.HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh:huh
It can't be emulator bug, I finished the game even in 4700+ revision, and 5000+. Howl stones and hidden skills worked just fine.

I can't think of any other reason, than incorrect playback of the wolf whistling. You do know each octave stays on that square for about half a second? You can't make it faster like ocarina playback in earlier games. It has to be timed exactly right (though the game does allow some room for error). The howling is quite slow and there are three octave positions (up, middle, low).

But I doubt you legally imported all versions of the game for the GC, let your imagination think of the reasons the iso could be faulty if some features really wont work at all in some games. Pirate games are not officially supported by dolphin.
For anyone who wants the Hyrule Field slowdowns to eventually be fixed, do what skid mentioned in the following post and post the results:

Note that other games that exhibit strange and unusual slowdowns could benefit as well.

There is something that bothers me though, and i was wondering if other people have this issue, or if it is just me.

it seems like half of the screen is split.. on the right side everything is nice and sharp looking, and on the left side, things are blurry...

I'm having the same exact issue, using v2.0 RC1. Default settings for general and 2.25x SSAA, 16xAF and hires texture enabled from default for D3D9 plugin. EFB to texture override in game settings.

Great program, btw. Smile
Use copy efb to texture and scaled efb copy and leave safe texture cache unchecked to get rid of the bluriness.

Did you read what I wrote under the quote? I believe scaled efb and safe texture cache off are default settings in 2.0 RC1.

Left half of screen is still blurry with those settings.
What are the recommended settings so far? So I can add that to the main post.
