I also get the weird lightning bug as madjik, although i don't get a drop in the framerate.
The only place i have problems with is, as everyone else here, hyrule.
I started task manager and i noticed that, although it's lagging as hell (25%, 6 fps and lower), my cpu is not running at 100%. It's running at about 50%. In all other areas except hyrule, it's running at 90-100%. Is it my graphics card that's causing the lag then? or memory or harddrive?
would overclocking my graphics card help?

Im using the directx plugin.

here's my specs:

phenom II X3 @ 3,225
4gb ram
radeon hd4870

dolphin rev 4525

EDIT: Anyways, i've not read the entire thread but disabling the safe texture cache fixed the minimap problem for me.

Ok so, weird lightning bug is because of the directX9 plugin. Try with the open GL plugin

Look at the difference on my config'

With DirectX9 plugin :

With Open GL plugin :

The only problem with the openGL plugIn is the weird green bug.

Some times become like this many times but only for milliseconds, juste like it's flashing :

Conclusion, when Link is Wolf I use OpenGL plugin and when he is normal I use DirectX plugin,

if any one knows how to fix the "green bug " with the OpenGL plugin its wellcome
Any reasons why someone would get this mega-frame drop right after the load screen? It's bizzare I have practically 100% fps in the intro, then when you fire up a load the frames just die... I watch helplessly as I dip from 60 to 34 to 2 to 0 and its still loading the game fine.

Its absolutely unreal, the frames just die on both US and PAL versions. I would use dx9 but it seems not to wanna render certain things (aka the intro is all brownish, graphical general weirdness etc.)
DX9 does that cause your graphics card does not support depth textures that will be fixed soon enough but till then use r4598 with DX9 everything runs fine in that cause depth textures where added in 4599
Since some revs ago im having this problem.Everytime I try to start the game got this message "No possible memory base pointer found!" and it crashes and closes.
To fix this I have to load the memory card in "tools" --> "memory card manager" EVERYTIME I start the game.
Any solutions for this?

that can by fixed if you don't use real XFB and/or native option

BTW render to mainscreen makes lot of games unstable and crash
How are people getting the minimap working? It simply doesn't show for me.
try EFB to RAM i think
I have that strange issue in teh twilight world with DX9 Plugin, that the blooming is much too strong and also strange. It's like the glow-filter(or whatever) is only on a part of the screen and much too strong. If I play the game with the open GL Plugin then the "twilight filter" is correct and perfect like the game is on my wii.

Is there any way to turn that twilight glow off or fix it in DX9? Cause OpenGL is unplayably slow with my PC and DX9 works great. (ATI 4850 Card Issue with OpenGL Performance I guess)
bleach vs crusade hack disables all bloom in the game as well as twilight effects
