2,4ghz core 2 can play the game in small areas, but forget about huge areas.
i stopped playing even with 3ghz as its no fun anymore later.
for config : use standard setting and activate dualcore, thats all you can do for best speed.
Please developpers improve Zelda TP.

Hi,
First of all, a big thanks to the developers for this great piece of software (if they read this post, anyway...).
Secondly, I'd like to ask a question. The first fiew times I played Zelda TP GC on Dolphin (the PAL version), I noticed the "low detail textures" problem in the upper left quarter of the screen. By reading this forum, I came across a possible workaround which is to enable the "Bleach Versus Crusade" hack. However, this method greatly alters the visual quality in some areas of the game due to lighting modifications.
Does anyone know a way of having both the "clean" upper half quarter of the screen and the beautiful lightings?
Thanks.
Here is an exemple of the lighting alteration I'm talking about:
without any hack
with "Bleach Versus Crusade" enabled

Yeah, i also noticed that some time ago, it also give some speedup if im not wrong. But there is no way to fix it in the meanwhile, we'll just have to wait until someone do it.
It seems you need a 5GHz dualcore CPU to have at least 30fps in slowest areas which is kind of the goal to achieve in TP emulation. Anyone know any way to OC my E7300 from 2.6 to 5GHz without liquid nitrogen?

E8600 goes up to ~4,5ghz(+-200mhz) with good watercooling at 24/7 use.
but i doubt that will be enough for hyrule at fullspeed.
i got a 3ghz and double speed would not be enough there.
Im new to Dolphin but have been using PSX2 for ps2 games for a while.
I am currentlt playing Zelda TP but Im getting slight lag sometimes and sometimes it runs smooth. Although my map is always black and white.
I run it at dual core enabled, idle skipping enabled, vsync enabled, efb to gl texture.
If I run safe cashe or the bloom hack it makes my map all blurred out. if I change gl texture to real ram texture I get a full colour map but it runs very slow.
I am running the PAL version iso and here are my computer specs.

is there any way to get this to run smoother, especially in big areas? And also to get the map to be in colour?
Thnx in advance.
the only possibility for map in color is efb to ram.
you should also try disabling vsync.
there are no settings that give a speedup you would notice, so you have to live with the performance.

Yeah Deffintly have vsync off, it slow games down by 10-20 fps.
And if you want the most FPS out of Zelda TP, Just Go into config then plugins and change it to Direct3D (or DirectX9) Turn on frame skip to +1
And you Should get about 40-60FPS, It Just depends where you are lol
