10Ghz isn't the solution because performance of Perynn 's architecture is limited.
Just wait a new release....
Intel hex-core Core i9s are coming Q1 2010. I'm guessing that won't matter much since we're still only using 2 cores.
1 core for ppc emulation.

second is for gpu and even today not really limited.

per core performance didnt increased by much in last 3 years, so i doubt we see wonders with a new architecture.

Quote:10Ghz isn't the solution

it was just an example to show how insane the requirements are for this game.

Thanks, looking much nicer now Big Grin

Is anyone else finding that music often seems to play for a couple of seconds then stop? The game seems oddly quiet.
Hello,
I'm quite unsure where to ask for savegames? I'll try here^^
can someone pls upload a memorycard for me with a save of TP right after the forest temple? I suffer from arachnophobia, and I'm not very keen on fighting against giant spiders any more (I wonder how I came through that part the time I played it on GC...
the save doesn't have to have everything collected. Thanks in advance.

thanks for the link, I'll try it.
just to give you some tips, for the users of windows OSs, deactivate DEP, there should be a tutorial somewhere, it seems to increase speed in this game I would say dramatically. don't blame me if it doesn't work for you though.

here are decent instructions if anyone wants to try it:

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/120778-dep-enable-disable.html

you only have to do it if you have a 64 bit os otherwise it's already disabled.

Sorry I mean I'm past harbinger's thingamabob. i'm after the one after the water temple in other words. I had no problem with crashing. Maybe set efb copy or something like that?
Do you have a savegame to share? I tryed with efb to ram but no chance.

I'll get one for you tonight, sorry man.

You don't have to, I already managed to get past that dungeon by myself.
(07-25-2009, 12:44 AM)Iulius Wrote: [ -> ]so dont get it wrong : buy your graphics card for pc games, but for dolphin you rather take a 100mhz faster cpu and stick with some old crap gpu (if it supports opengl 2.x Wink )
No problem about clocking to 3.3Ghz, it can even do it itself by that I play Dolphin Big Grin (I think my multiplier is locked, so.. only clocking on FSB)
And i doubt that tit will at all need 10Ghz.
The world record is at 6.5Ghz, which is one 1 computer.. (overclocked with nitrogen)
(Formular for CPU speed is: Multiplier*FSB = CPU speed)
And for playing Halo 2 i want quality, not just an old crap-GPU. Tongue

I hated water-temple in OoT Sad
Then i will probably hate this one even more.. Confused
Is this game a little renewed version of OoT? like, similar places, just new storyline? (Oh, is the LonLon farm there? Blush )
