There is no super config in this game. Dolphin need a speedhack for 3D geometry like pcsx2 has. Better keep playing on your GC/Wii and look every few weeks/months if it improved.

i second that.
huge areas slow down the game and there is nothing you can do about at the moment.
you will maybe get few more fps, but with this cpu it will never be anything near playable.
in fact, even with fastest cpus available its unplayable at many locations at the moment.
If you want to upgrade to play zelda TP... dont do, you will be disappointet even if you spend 5000$.

is it purely a geometry issue with Hyrule Field?

yeah, but it's the CPU that processes all that data, no the GPU.
getting a better graphic card won't give you more than a single frame. the GPU works perfectly on dolphin, the problem is processing the graphics.
In hyrule Field, the CPU tries to process all the polygons of all the areas(in cluding those which are far away and you aren't seeing) inside hyrule field, that's why it is so slow).
Also the only way to fix hyrule field is implementing an optimization technique called 'Space Partioning'. However, since dolphin is an emulator, dolphin lacks information about what's happening on the game, so this technique may be hard to apply.

So far I'm maybe 1/3rd of the way through Zelda. I just grit my teeth and bite through the slow areas. Most of the game is not spent in Hyrule Field, so thus far it's really ok. Warping saves a lot of that headache. I consider it to be quite playable, hardly crashes, near full speed in a lot of areas.

but it seems people manage to improve the speed in PS2 emulator{PCSX2},even in heavy games on heavy areas with Speed hacks and better emulator optimization.
so,if it already possible with emulator, why it shouldn't be possible with this emulator to?
and about Zelda:WW
from what I understand it's working for about almost to full speed in all the areas, right?

Its not only this game i want to play, i want to play these:
Mario Kart Double Dash
Super Smash Bros Melee + Brawl
Super Mario Sunshine (Its all black in the intro.. o_O )
(And maybe Mario Kart Wii.)
And my PC games:
Halo 2 (slow..)
Halo Custom Edition (its slow with many AIs around)
Crysis (i can only have Low on all gfx settings, but still slow xD)
I get actually a good speed at SSBB.
But humiliating when i look at the actual speed at youtube vids..
But, its a advantage in 1 way, you can dodge attacks easier.

Next year i will upgrade more. (CPU, RAM, maybe mobo)
It woldnt even be close to 5000$ to upgrade..
(We have other currency, so..) It would be around 1000-1500 NOK.
This is a very fair amount for it, especially when its a new and good card.
And, how many more frames would i get in improvement? not needed to be exact.
The GPU executes the codes the CPU makes out of the models and positions, which then needs RAM, which needs good FBS to transfer it.
It needs to be balanced, right now i can make it more equal with getting a gfx card, thats all i can do right now. :/
