There is something that bothers me though, and i was wondering if other people have this issue, or if it is just me.

it seems like half of the screen is split.. on the right side everything is nice and sharp looking, and on the left side, things are blurry...
click on pic to see bigger version.

call me blind but I can't see this 'split' that you're refering to in your screenshots.

it could be related to textures though...you could try turning AF up
Just open the second screen and zoom in its pretty obvious.

the second screen where the wall is closer to the camera and therefore the texture would be closer and more muddy?

Like I said, AF should help

EDIT: nevermind, just zoomed in a lot and can see it now...looks like AA is being applied to half the screen :\
Yeah i noticed when i turn sound off game speeds up alot

ah ok i didnt catch the shortcut!Big Grin
It's actually only the top left quarter of the screen that has this problem, not the whole left side. This has always been a problem since the bloom fix was first done.
Enabling the bloom fix would cause this quarter screen to show low res textures which was why I never used it.
When the fix became permanent (in R3427) and can no longer be switched off, we're now stuck with it.
Any sort of AA or Af makes no difference at all.
For some reason the textures in the that quarter of the screen simple seem to run at a lower resolution than those in the rest of the screen.
The 2d elements in this quarter of the screen such as the health bar etc are not affected, only the 3d textures.
