I think that once you give power to someone it's not that easy to take it back. People don't fight so much for what they don't have, but they get rreally mad if you take something from them.

Which means that even if we can stop it this time next time they try it they will probably win.

This is two days old, but anybody saw it?
http://news.cnet.com/8301-31001_3-57358947-261/dns-provision-pulled-from-sopa-victory-for-opponents/

I see this as a bad thing, I'd kinda prefer it to be as horrible as possible so it would be harder for it to pass. But at least now it isn't that bad.
it is 100% confirmed that it will be voted in January 24? because if true then only 14 days left before the death of free internet.... Also now that they have remove DNS what does it exactly means? and will it affect other countries too or only us?
Means they can block americans access to foreign sites no matter its contents so only US sites can be censored.
I suppose other countries will follow. I don't know where you are but european countries (and my dear France first) will propably align their position with USA. China's network activity should increase this year Wink
You saying they will start censoring as well?
In Europe? If US law is a success I guess it will give ideas to others. For China I meant some sites would "find shelter" in other countries. I know you're in Brazil what's the position over there?
So Grab all you can in 10 days Americans Wink
