And when do we know if it passed or not? Is there a date or something?

ye, i got a mail of my site dacotaco.com about it. somebody is contacting sites to join the blackout.

eventho i doubt i get many visitors / day ill join with my site

nobody seems to care a fact because they all think it wont affect them. affect or not, this is power you dont want to give to others. but try and teach that to ppl.

Stuff like SOPA/PROTECT IP has been attempted to be passed before. It's not new, just a pathetic waste of time. Congress should be focusing more on getting more jobs if you ask me.
In the case it passes, will it likely be reversed after causing crap, or is that harder than passing it in the first place?
