Been poking around some guides on how to set up Dolphin, but I'm still relatively inexperienced and fuzzy on which settings depend on which pc parts. It would be nice to get some idea about which settings rely on the quality of your gpu and which on your cpu.

So far everything has been playable except for a weird bug where the audio sort of doubles over itself and starts playing the same track over the first out of sync.

Kirby's Adventure pretty much stays at 60fps with occasional tiny hiccups.
Skyward Sword runs around 30fps indoors but dips into the high teens, low twenties running outside in Skyloft.
Xenoblade is the worst runs around 20fps but gets crippled into low teens during busy parts like the opening scene and becomes laggy and sluggish.

Could someone tell me the FPS (All regions) of this game so I could update my thread?
Specs:
Windows 7 x64
4GB ram
Radeon HD 5970
Phenom II x4 940 3.0GHz
It is your CPU's fault, see if you can OC it Wink
Considered it. Does that wear out faster?

I have the best build for dolphin. I have tested against other systems

Win 7-64bit
I7 quad 2600K OC to 4.2ghz per core, total 16.8 ghz, 33.6 ghz with hyperthreading
16GB DDR3 1600, OC to 1800
Nvidia GTX550 TI, 1GB in PCIE 2,16x

----------------------------------------------
all games set to use dual core option, wish they had quad core option, or octo core option.
get 100% in SMG2, and ZELDA TP

also download latest directx 11, I beilive, 64dolphin supports it, and everything runs much better than using openGL.
if you only have dx9 avail, then use openGL for slightly better performance.

not sure if trolling, or just stupid

- you dont calculate CPU power by multiplying the clock speed with the amount of cores
- RAM does not speed up Dolphin, nor will you see a noticable speed boost on your computer (unless the RAM has a higher clock speed, even then it probably wont make much difference)
- Dolphin would not run faster on more cores, read here -> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=20573
- Dolphin does not support more than 1 GPU, read here -> http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=18475

you morons build your systems your way, and I build my way.

Ill multiply my stupid cores however I want. Ill run my VmWare how I want. And I thank you to shut up
i never realised giving tangible information could become such an insult

@esin - depends on the settings you put for OCing, but from what i understand the main concerns are overheating and setting the voltages too high. i dont know any more than that however
