Hey there,
using LLE on thread in SMG2/SMG brings me a speed post about 10%. Though I get random crashes with it. It runs for half an hour or even more just fine but at some point it WILL crash. I think without LLE on Thread it doesn't crash but I have yet to make an extended test.
Is this a known issue? Anything I can do about it?
You can get random crashes WITH LLE on Thread but you can get random crashes WITHOUT LLE on Thread too. And you can play hours without crashes with or without LLE on Thread. In the same way if you use HLE you can or can not get random crashes (not talking about parts where LLE is essential just talking about traditional game phases)
So it's just the game? Man that sucks.

I just got a crash right before a boss. I guess you have to live with that but I'm always thinking "please don't crash please don't crash"...it's kinda hard to chill out that way. ;D
This game especially? No. It happens (or not) in other games too. Above all make a lot of saves

That's the problem...save states almost never work, at least in SMG.
Yeah this option has been known to crash on many games but some people actually dont crash o.o. for me When I use it on the completely factory default cpu clock speeds it runs fine but the fps with no overclock is just as bad as having an overclock without it... I dont understand how it works for some people, even when they have overclocked... maybe it only favours specific cpu chips

Not anymore. That issue was fixed several hundreds revisions ago. Some games have syncing issues with LLE on thread which cause them to crash.

How does that explain how it only works for some people?
Luck? I don't know, we don't have any hard data to go on. Potential variables include different revisions, different hardware, different OS, different game, , and different settings.

Do you think crashes (with LLE on thread and in general) might always be caused by sound issues?
