You have to ask developers for that. Should be pointless, yes...

Also, you probably just did something wrong when testing; at least that's what usually turns out to be the case when people claim to have found that a certain option magically fixes their problems. OpenCL has huge bottlenecks and can't compete with the SSE optimized CPU decoder. In fact, the only reason that option still exists is that some people think "some day some guy" may step up and fix its bottlenecks.
I can't tell you what you did wrong (maybe you forgot the fact that shader compilations add up to stuttering as well, but don't if they're loaded from cache) and I don't care to find it out because it's most likely a waste of time anyway.
Using this build for my AMD Phenom X4 9850 and enabling OpenCl and OpenMP does reduce stutters and smooths the game. The CPU is overclocked to 2.9 Ghz.
I also found that setting the audio to 32000 makes less vibrating noise, but that maybe an issue with my Via audio chip.

Download AVX build with OpenMP and O3 (INTEL x64 ONLY!!!) - HERE
P.S. Dont forget to enable OpenMP in Dolphin options.

whoah, this build works GREAT for me, have an i3-2310m proccesir (sandy bridge laptop)
testing on metroid 2 echoes, and while the intro were still a bit laggy with your previus AVX 64 relase , it works almost smooth with this one, as soon as I will be able to OC a little it will have constant 100% speed on all rooms I hope.
very nice job
plz keep providing those awesome builds
thank you a lot
-satisfected user- ^_^
yeah, in my case I know the low i3 proccesor core speed is the main bottleneck (just 2.10 Ghz and no turbo boost since it is not even a i5 or i7), I'm trying to mod my bios to OC the basic proccesor clock a little, for the moment I was able to flash a custom bios with the nvidia vbios voltage lowered, so the temperature decreased a little without lose the current GPU OC or performance in general.
however all those optimizations on your build and tweaking some options increased the speed for games in general, didnt expected my i3 to supported the new AVX instruction set until I saw it with everest software.
I also noticed setting the framelimiter to "audio" instead "auto" increased almost 10 FPS, not sure why.
those are my emu options
and those are my specs:
laptop model: L502X
OS:win 7 ultimate x64
CPU:i3 2310m (2.10 ghz 4 threads, (2 real cores + 2 HT threads) also support AVX instructions)
RAM: 8 Gb DDR3 1333
INTEGRATED GRAPHUCS: intel HD 3000
DEDICATED GRAPHICS: nvidia GT525m with optimus technology (1 Gig video memory, and the core is overclocked to 675 mhz)
any advice to sneak a little more FPS? ^_^
ps: oh, is there anyway to edit my previus posts at this forum? I noticed some small mistakes while fast writting my first emotive post

("proceSir" and "roOms" are killing my eyes

)
Disable OpenCL Texture Decoder. OpenMP + OpenCL is nothing.
Besides, set the Audio engine to DSound and choose 48000 Hz. Also try the MMU Speed Hack.
Ugh, what the fuck... I guess I won't even ask why you have the ZTP hack enabled for metroid prime.
MMU Speed hack will slow things down (it only speeds up stuff compared to real mmu emulation).
I will try to disable openCL with the current config, I just enabled that option cause I noted the cpu were the bottleneck while the GPU never used more than a 30% with dolphin.
Tried the MMU hack some time ago, but like neobrain mentionated it slowed down everything, so I removed it, about the Zelda Twilight Princess hack, yep, my bad there, I was just testing if the game would benefit from a hack designed for another game even the chances were kinda minimal ^_^
I will test more stuff as soon as I arrive at home.
Any word about the forum post edit feature? (I use it a lot on most forums, that is why ask

)
Change next things:
DSPLLE on thread - disable it since you use HLE
Lock threads to cores - disable it
EFB Copies - use To Texture instead of RAM
OpenCL - disable it
