this game's supposed to work but I keep getting the 'error trying to compile' message when i boot it up and then it crashes immediately. it doesn't matter which version of dolphin i'm using i keep getting this message

It probably means your graphics card is no good.

the exact message is 'error trying to compile at O.LR=8029eec4'

I don't think its my graphics card. I have a GTX 260 which is an old card but can still run new pc games like the witcher 2 and battlefield 3 no problem..

Delete your shader cache.

how do you do that exactly? is it just done by 'purge cache' in the view menu?

Delete the contents of /User/ShaderCache

... and if that doesn't work, try redumping the game.
