Hello All,
I created my own small front end to launch Dolphin via the command line. I found it easy to just have one install per game so that I never really have to change settings per game: and hey, hard drive space is cheap!
Anywho, I have run into an issue with Wii games as when the game starts via my command:
pathToDolphinInstall\dolphin.exe /e "d:\path\gameName.iso"
Everything is peachy, but no WiiMote because they were never paired. Is there a way to do this via command line or some other automated way. Programming is an option for me, so please, any suggestions would be appreciated.
As a side note I am using several different versions of Dolphin (all 64 bit and all post 7719) if it matters. I can post the exact versions if it matters. I am also using a real WiiMote with Motion+ and nun-chuck.
Thanks in advance!
Can't you just pair up the Wiimote from Windows instead before launching Dolphin? Like right click the Bluetooth icon, Add device and then pair up without using code then start Dolphin.
This should work as the Wiimote rumbles when you start a game.
I don't know, just a thought...

Thanks Gabriel Belmont. I always thought I had to match it up manually before starting the game. Silly me. I will give this a shot. Thanks for your input!

Unfortunately this is not the case. I have to either pair it up and click refresh or allow Dolphin to pair it up, so I am unable to play the game from the command prompt start up script.
I know this is not how the game was intended to be loaded, but I was wondering if there was any other way of either auto pairing or doing so via the command line...?
This is true for me as well, I can certainly see how frustrating that would be using a prompt. If I close dolphin, I need to pair up again, 9 times out of 10 it removes my BT device. I then have to go through it all over again.
I know "bumping" is not desirable, but I was really hoping for a resolution...
Thanks to anyone who replies.
I'm finding the Toshiba stack to be quite helpful. So far I dont need to re- config each time. Un like that soilet ( or what ever ) thing its free
I always thought you HAD to use the Windows stack...
Maybe I am thinking of pairing up inside of Dolphin. For some reason I only have success if I pair up using the WiiMote config inside Dolphin. If I pair up in windows and click refresh, no dice. but if I pair up in Dolphin, then it works fine.
I read that too, but its not the case. At least not for win7 32.
UPDATE: Ok I retrack that advice, do not install Toshiba. haddockd, is right it did in fact say that. I guess I was confused at first? Either way, I had a hell of a time getting it off.
Glad that there is some discussion about this and it isn't just me.
I run dolphin through a 3rd party interface from my HTPC (no keyboard or mouse, just a universal remote for windows media center).
Having some way to auto-pair the wii remotes would be ideal. Hope something comes of this. Is is difficult to create a command to do whatever the "paring" button does on the GUI?
