Hello right now i have this system
ati 5850
cpu 3.0 quad core phenom II
3 gb ram ddr 1024

and i will upgrade my ram to 8 gb ddr 3 1066
will this boost my perfomance??
and another question
my dolphins seems to crash randomly a lot, i think it's the lack of ram but i don't know...
Thanks
btw i have 3.204 dolphin
I assume your CPU is the AMD Phenom X4 945?

No, if you're looking to boost your performance, you'll need a better CPU.
What games are you trying/playing?
And what are your settings?
dolphin crashing is not the ram, i have 3 gb and dolphin never crashes for me, but yeah, what are your settings?
and dont buy more RAM, you dont need more than 4GB, incase nobody told you
OP should also be using 3.0, the latest revisions are known to have severe performance issues in some games.

i was talking about the computer in general, not specifically about Dolphin

note:i have texture cache to safe because i was playing twilight princess.
disable anti aliasing (or set to 4x)
what display resolution are you using?
and set EFB Copies to Texture
Texture Cache to Fast

should help a lot...
I think Anti-Aliasing set to x9 is little too much for your Radeon HD 5850 if you're running Dolphin on high resolution.
