Does your PC run the game at pretty much full framerate? The sensor bar theory might be correct also. Another test would be to try other games that use the motionplus, like Wii Sports Resort. All motionplus games should have the same problem.
I'll give that a try. Should it make a difference if I play it from the DVD (PAL) or a .iso image?
Don't know if it's possible to edit posts or not, but couldn't find anything. I'm currently ripping Wii Sports Resort and thought I'd try some more Skyward Sword. After 10-ish minutes the motion plus went out of sync again and I did the calibration you can select in the item menu. The motion plus calibrated just fine but I couldn't get my pointer the show up at the center of the screen so again; I really think this is a (wireless) sensor bar issue.

@Skid: Forgot to mention it, but yes, the game runs at a solid 30fps at all times.

Are there any people who don't have this problem? What sensor bar and settings do you use? Hope the problem can be found soon because I can't beat the first boss without the game working properly Sad
I tried Wii Sports Resort and the same happens as with Zelda. The pointer dissapears and only appears if I hold it next to one of the IR light on the wireless sensor bar and the Wiimotion plus stays out of sync. Sorta glad to know it's not just Zelda. Also no FPS losses in this game.

...so it's the sensor bar then?
Yes, it's the sensor bar or your wiimote needs new batteries.
Just wanted to kick this and confirm skid's solution worked. The problem was that one pair of batteries in the sensor bar were empty and the other pair close to powering down. Put in 4 full power AAAs and the game now works like a charm. No calibration needed after 4 hours of non-stop playing. It's amazing. So glad I decided to play it on my PC and not on the Wii Smile
