Skyrim is a cheap imitation of a game we've all already played with a few slight changes, it's not even worthy of being up against a great game like Zelda. Granted Zelda is probably more of the same as far as Zelda games go, but Zelda is exceptional. Skyrim is boring and lackluster. Zelda wins hands down.

i agree with dacotaco cause i started to hate zelda, mario, metroid, and basically all the nintendo characters after a few years. i think marios had enough games and miyamoto hasnt been making any new characters for games. last one was pikmin i think. the only thing ive been seeing is them remake plenty of games but not making many original games (i know about super mario galaxy, dont bring it up lol).

Every 'big' Nintendo game(Zelda/Mario/Metroid to rule it down) is original. I haven't seen a model being used twice in any of their games. They recreate their assets, gameplay etc. But they usually have the same -basic- plotline.
Every game feels like a new experience in contrary to other franchises.
At least they arn't abusing their characters like SEGA once did.

Miyamoto isn't making anything at least Zelda related since Ocarina of Time. For Mario, it's since Mario 64. He didn't even create Metroid too, so LOL. Nowadays He's just giving advice and supervsioning the people that are making the stuff now. Your should change charaters for IPs there, I guess that's what you wanted to say, because there's over 10 different Links and Zeldas right now I think. Even so, the only Zelda I can think of that isn't totally unique is Twilight Princess.
Link, Mario and Samus have plenty of games already, but poor old Pit have two old games and one on it's way for the 3DS.
I somehow wanted to see more of Pit, the Angel Land and the rest on other platforms such as Super Nintendo, GBA or the NDS.
Kid Icarus would have looked great in 2D on those consoles.
Kid Icarus did poorly back on his NES/GB days, so making new games for him wasn't really an option until Brawl came and his popularity increased somewhat.
