Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

For months this small thing haven't really bothered me. I have loaded up Dolphin and just done what I've always done, playing my games.

Today I was starting to think about how the game list kinda was unsorted, like Wii, Wii, GC, Wii, GC, Wii, Wii etc. so I clicked at the column where these attributes are and it was perfect sorted in GC games first and Wii games last.

But as I closed Dolphin it reverted back to it's original behavior unsorted.
Somehow this didn't get saved.

Is there a way to configure this in one of the configuration files, so every time I open Dolphin GC games is sorted as first and Wii games last.

I know it's easy just clicking on the column to get it sorted, but it shouldn't be impossible to save this sort result right?

Bump if someone know the answer to this or not...

Uh... I am going to take a stab in the dark here... find the config file deete and start over.

The equivalent: Did you try turning it on and off again?

No deleting the configuration files doesn't work.
I'm skeptic to if a custom sort is even saved because every time I sort the list it to GC games first and Wii games last it reverts to it's default state when I close and reopen Dolphin meaning alphabetically order of the game names.

Well how many games are you dealing with? 10-20? if it is only 20 it should not be that big of a deal...

It's around 25-30 games depending on which mood I'm in.
But you're right I guess it's no big deal, just that it looks so nice having them sorted by system.

If there isn't anything I can do I'm fine with it as long as the games play as they should which they do.

Ya well if you are trying to collect the whole gamecube library then ya it would be a *big* deal. Sorry I don't really know a fix... hopefully you can find a fix though .

every time dolphin is opened it will sort by title.

Yay my first time seeing a developer ^_^ - thanks for working on dolphin!

Any way in the future will that feature be added or is it not a priority for the development team?

no one really seems interested in adding it, it was added as issue 1742 but that is several years old.

I think that it will only happen if someone submits a patch for it
