There's some shops here that already sell some Ivy Bridge CPU's, namely: i5 3450, i5 3550 and i5 3570K.
The prices seem very nice as a launchprice: €189, €209 and €229.
....they're the exact same price as the sandy bridge models that they replace here in the U.S.
Oh, i thought those were pounds for a sec, i was really sleepy then

Quote:But slightly lower overclocking then Sandies compensates higher performance per clock, so it is not a major problem.
its still the first revision... i dont know how bad the first revisions in the past where (first i-serie and sandybridge)
maybe there is space for improvment
planned TDP should be 77W
the tested revision are at 95W
who knows
I hope the final revisions are ready by now, i dont think they have enough time for thorough testing between now and the release date if it wasnt

ready yes...
but the heatlose due of problems in the production is still over 10-20% 77TDP vs 95TDP
they are increasing the voltage to maintain stability
(i dont want to go into this... i forgot mostly everything about heat and electricity)
but its the same with GPU's the bad ones are sold as low budged

Please turn this random sequence of words into a sentence.

Where did you hear this? I've heard nothing about poor yields.
