I wouldn't go so far as unanimously hates. I can't be the only guy on this planet who likes this CPU?
It's true that I have a thing for stuff that stands out a little no matter the cost.
It might as well been a couch we were talking about here.
Why should I go and get help for wanting something better?
Does it make you feel better if I told you that I'm tired of the setup I have and longing for something new?
What are your serious proposal that I do if building a new computer with this CPU isn't a good idea?
Wait till ivybridge other wise you will regret getting this

Outside of a few specialized industries, it would certainly seem that way.
Quote:Why should I go and get help for wanting something better?
Because you're displaying symptoms of obsessive/addiction behavior. Your reasons for buying a new cpu are not rational. Your subconscious is screaming "it's been awhile now so we need to blow lots of money on something new so I can make you feel better by temporarily relieving you of the compulsive urges created by your good memories of buying new hardware". Your situation literally matches the definition of compulsive behavior perfectly.

No. That actually proves my point about your behavior pretty well.

WAIT! You already have a 2600K that you bought a few months ago for crying out loud!
It's so nice that we are able to benefit from NaturalViolence's extended study and experience in psychology.
You're right, it's sick but I can't help who I am.
I mean come on we're all different, we all have our weak spots. Computers happens to be mine.
And buying this doesn't mean I will throw away the 2600K rig, I have plenty of other jobs and usages for it.
I know I know nothing I say will justify it.
What did you do with the AMD 1100t?

That processor was used for another gaming rig until August this year, but I have replaced it with my older Core 2 Quad Q9650 since it's actually performing better then the 1100T.
The 1100T is not used for much these days I admit. Don't know if I want to invest money rebuilding anything with that CPU. But it's not thrown away or anything. The mobo and CPU is resting in their boxes.
I have been thinking and I have to apologize for my obsession and stupidity, maybe this isn't worth my time after all.
I'm convinced that I'm only gonna regret it afterwards how tempting it may look.
I have another idea, but it ain't gonna be worth posting it here.
All I have to say is D..l X..n as a hint.
Dual Xeon...
but why isn't it worth to be discussed here?
i like the thought, but it doesn't stand in any relation to the gains...
its like making some benchmarks and "hot air"!
the sandybridge compared to your 1100t was a HUGE step for dolphin
but dolphin won't gain nothing from the other solutions
and i doubt any other project, make some coffee in the 10s longer load time a day
spend the 2000$ in some indian developer and improve dolphin
spend the money in some girls...
if there is no... (thats not the right thread to discuss)
deleting all porns and stop watching them is the first step to a sweet girl
(its nothing against you, its just a random thought)
porns are bad for every relation
it like a drug who replaces every emotional feeling for a short time
