To be honest I haven't used the GC Memory Card Manager for a long time probably not since 2.0. It's well known for destroying data.
I have too been a victim of this but in the end all turned out fine.

You're seem to doing it right, I don't know what's going on here.

What version are you using now?

There have been no reported issues with the memory card manager in ages, the only reason it is well known for destroying data is because people keep repeating it without showing the data.

OP: I don't have ZTP for gamecube (only wii), the save imports fine and the system menu displays it. I've attached the memorycard that i used but it should be (almost) identical to any memory card created by either a game within dolphin or the memorycard manager

if you have changed any settings related to memory cards, restore them to the original settings, better yet extract dolphin to a new folder and place the memory card in <dolphin>/User/GC/MemoryCardA.USA.raw

maybe this should be verified but you are using the NTSC-U version correct? The savefile is a ntsc-u save (gamecode GZ2E, E is for USA/NTSC-u)
I own the NTSC version of the game. The save is NTSC. The iso I am playing on Dolphin is NTSC. It's making MemoryCardA.USA.raw. Not PAL. I could try some other saves...

I'm almost positive save is not a PAL save. How did you determine that Mr. Vador?

When I rip the save the game ID is GZ2E. That's what it lists in the file name. The iso I am playing has a game id of GZ2E. (Right click->Properties->Info)
OK so it's NTSC, that's great to hear.
But I still don't know why it won't work, it worked fine for me all those months ago.
Hmm..strange.

I need to test this for my own again.
EDIT -- fixed it, the BIFlags of the gci file are incorrect, What program did you dump the file with? looks like it has a bug

see attachment

<OLD Response>
There is another thing to try, but it won't help figure anything out about the memory card manager

Siesna what program did you use for dumping the gci? Does it allow you to make a full memory card dump?

after you have the full memorycard dump, rename it to MemorycardA.USA.raw and place in the <dolphin>/User/GC/ folder

The file was recognized by my MC so I just supposed it was Wink Anyway you should redump your MC as I had already suggested it
LordVador: Any region save will be displayed on any region memory card, some japanese games will only work with Japanese formatted memory cards others will work with any memory card. pal/usa memorycards are formatted identically dolphin separates them more as a formality.

also see my post above, the gci file was damaged and I fixed it
OK. Btw how did you fix it?

Gci files have a header and the blocks of savedata, the header had an incorrect value for the BIFlags (1 instead of 5)
because the header was incorrect the game would not recognize it

so i fixed it with a hexeditor
Well that's great news, I bet he will be happy for this.
YOU'RE AMAZING. Sorry it took me so long to reply, been busy with work. But that did the trick!! Thanks so much! I was using GCMM to dump the file. I knew I was missing something a little over my head. Thank you soooo much! Thanks for helping a lady out. Wink (WHAT A TWIST!)
