Here's my hardware:
i5 2500k @ 4.5 GHz
nVidia GTX 480 (x2) [SLI]
8 GB RAM
Win7 x64
As you can see, it's a fairly strong system but Super Mario Galaxy running at 1080p is giving me slowdowns. For example, on the very first galaxy (not the intro scenes, but the first galaxy you go to yourself) it varies from 35 - 60 fps.
Is this normal? I'm not complaining but I just want to make sure I don't have anything configured incorrectly causing the slowdown...
(I'm running the latest revision from Git as of about a week ago...)
I would recommend using the official 3.0 version since the newer have been giving speed issues.
And there's nothing wrong with your hardware.
Post you settings also to see if somethings wrong.

Do you see anything that stands out? I'm using Dolphin 3.0-204 (I just checked), but I'll revert to Dolphin 3.0 (release) and see if that helps as well.
Hmm how about the graphical settings?
Even with my hardware speed isn't always 100% and I also use DSP LLE.
The graphic settings are in there... scroll down in the textbox...

Sorry thought it was static text.
Well the only "wrong" thing I see is that you're using Direct3D11 which is slower.
Tried Direct3D9?
Wow, really? I would think that DX11 is faster than DX9...?
Oh no no no.
Direct3D11 is much slower then Direct3D9.
There is no need to use Direct3D11 for this game really.
Direct3D11 solves a couple of issues in some games, but this game isn't one of them as far as I know.
Interesting... thanks for the info!
So have you tried Direct3D9, any difference?
