Yeah manually from the display settings with an old version, 6803
I'm pretty sure the Internal res setting didn't exist back there, it was set by a single fullscreen resolution setting. Tough I can't remember ^^
It existed but it was called efb scale.

I'm using 3.0, Intel Core i7 quad 2.36, and Radeon HD 4350.
My settings are Internal resolution: auto (window size), Scaled EFB copy checked, skip EFB access from CPU checked, EFB Copies to Texture checked, safe texture cache checked. Disable external frame buffer checked, fast mipmaps checked, Disable per pixel depth checked, disable fog checked, skip dest. alpha pass checked
You still haven't told us what video backend you're using.
