Ok from what I remember, Dirge of Cerberus (sequel) sucked, Advent Children was awesome (movie, takes place before DOC and after FF7), FF7 is STILL overrated even though it is awesome, and Crisis Core was basically fan-fiction brought to life (prequel). I know it takes a lot of manpower to get these things done, but I still don't get why they chose FFX to remake rather than FF7, (other than all of the previous assets being essentially thrown away at the end of development for the PSX version and the PC version ending up being like garbage.)

i remember vague that they remade FF7 for PS2 and psp ? or announced it once anyway (at e3)

also, advent childeren had a re-release. a horrible one at that

FFX would only require texture update and engine tweak to function on Vita whereas FFVII would mean making an almost completely new game, which would be expensive.

FFVII isn't even that good anyway, and chances are higher SE would screw it up even more.

When the game was released in 1997 he blasted everything. I bought a PSX to play this game. Nowadays he can look "old" that's clear (technically) but it's always a good game. I encourage all "young" players here to play this game if they haven't done it yet. This isn't Xenoblade but it's doing the job though

Nope, Suikoden I and II are better games overall than VII, and they're not even 3D.

I'm psx gamers era, so I dunno about that (well actually nes, but didn't play snes).

Ok. You should. A lot of great games on this console but I agree the "old" NES Had pearls too

When a company is dying, it usually goes back to its older more successful products and remakes them, its an act of desperation and the fact they chose X instead of VII or IX also shows how lazy and unserious they are, the only person there that does his job right is NOMURA and KAMIKOKURYU

Not sure they make a new version of FFIX. I hope they won't. This game is one of my favourite games (RPGs at least). Great onirical ambiance. Very different of other FFs. Good to remind this
