Lol, would be nice if you included the exact model and such.
But yea, you should be fine then. No need to worry about the PSU.

Yea, it has around 70% efficiency. It should be good enough.
What about the CPU, not interested in saving money by getting the 945/955?

I'm a little terrified about overclocking, some bad experiences in High School. I should really get a better fan for my processor (Heatsink?) seeing as things get pretty warm in their when I tried Dolphin earlier.
Even if I do overclock wouldn't it be better to go for the 975 and them be able to get it around 4 GHz?

The 975 is essentially an overclocked 945 (the 955 is also an overclocked 945).
Overclocking isn't hard if you know what you do, you can always ask for help here.
Could you also monitor your temps, with an application like RealTemp/CoreTemp, and post your temps here, on idle and load?

I'm currently away from my desktop but I'll definitely do so when I get home, which, seeing as we're in a snowfall warning might be later then I hoped.
If I remember right I was around 45-50C idle and 80C during Dolphin, I believe that was recorded with HW Monitor.

he is right that the 975 is an overclocked 955
the only difference is an higher multiplier
save the money and get a custom cooler for about 30-40 bucks

hmmm.
All this overclocking talk got me looking into doing such a thing to my current CPU, the results seem pretty good from this test.

I might try to get a pretty good cooler OC my current CPU and just put the money towards a significant upgrade down the road.
Any idea as to where I could find out if my MotherBoard has the kick to OC my CPU and to what extent?
