"Here is a logitech controller .ini file that should work for the most part for IR movements/name select/bird flying and some in-game play. The file goes in user/config/profiles/wiimote. Then make sure to select the profile that says "bird" and select your controller.

I dont understand the part where you say "The file goes in user/config/profiles/wiimote. Then make sure to select the profile that says "bird" and select your controller."
There is nothing after user/config! And how do I select "bird" and select your "controller"
It doesnt make sense to me.

While it might be a cool trick to show off at a party it's not the optimal solution.
I'm using a wireless sensor bar bought from Amazon:
The brand is Nyko:
http://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Sensor-Bar-Wii-nintendo/dp/B000LFJNG6
Never had any problems.
I recommend buying one, it's only $19.99 and will work just as good a real one.
I use this both for my Wii's and Dolphin.
Good to know! I wasn't sure how much I believed it either... in this case it proved to be false. Anyways, purchased a sensor bar and it'll be here in 2-3 days!

Hoping I can jump right into Zelda once that arrives. Thanks for your reply Gabriel!

I guess I can use the emulated Motion+ until I get the money to buy the hardware.
When you emulate a console you have to emulate everything, including the controls. Save the real control hardware for the real console.
Yeah I would but on Dolphin I can play on a larger screen at a higher resolution. I'll keep messing around with the emulated Motion+ to see if I can find something more decent for using the sword, flying the bird etc..
I meant play the game on Dolphin while emulating everything, no real stuff allowed. I was only kidding, though. Maybe emulated motion plus can be better in time, but a real motion plus controller is the best option for now.

I have been able to go through the game with this config without using the savestates provided and I am now in the Faron Woods. That's after the bird race and after pulling out the sword. I admit pulling out the sword was really fiddly but once I got it it was all good.
I cant get the latest build that was recently posted to work right because it crashes every time I change the wiimote controls.
Flying the bird is a bit tricky but possible. I won the race with this configuration and I cant tell you how mad I was when they started throwing eggs. But I got through it.
With this you can slice all directions, (Horizontal is a bit tricky but you will get it) You can skyward slash, you can thrust, and you can even roll and throw objects. There's only a few issues like I am unable to roll or use my shield the nunchuck shake does not seem to register AT ALL when the IR is on but if you check the box that says IR Off then the nunchuck shakes non stop without me pressing anything This results in spin attacking rolling and shield bashing constantly without stopping. As i said before I have not tried the latest build for 2 reasons. For one it does not have the DoF fix. and 2 it crashes when i try to change the wiimote config. I hope this all gets fixed soon.
I hope this config helps everyone else. Happy first post to me!
Oh and if anyone could build on this configuration I have and see if anything they do works better. (like making horizontal slashing easier without breaking everything else) and post them here for everyone to share that would be great. There is an awful lack of configuration sharing going on in this thread.
can't seem to poen your attachement somehow
John Peterson : Hats off. You've done a really good job
Starscream : Your pad setting works fine for me
Moonwalker : Try to apply the config to your own pad it's quite easy
Why does Dolphin (the update in first page) keeps crashing all the time?
I cant change any settings at all!!! and the settings changes everytime I upload the game, so even ingame, I cant change settings or let alone get the dolphin to recognize my joystick to move with!

No problem at all! Just glad to help.
hmm, now i copied someone's control configuration and tried setting it up for my 360-controller + keyboard/mouse. the problem is, that dolphin resets the control settings every time i start the game. i don't have any other games to test this with, though.

also, it often just crashes wheni try to leave the wiimote control configuration menu.
