Oh...there was a problem in my config...
It is working good now...but not always recognizing
Maybe there is another problem with my configs?
"Center " "Width" and "height" are all set to 50
Up is Cursor Y-
Down is Cursor Y+
Left is Cursor X-
Right is Cursor X+
Maybe I need to change my mouse speed? I dunno...I don't understand too much...
@Starscream or Jpeterson: I've been playing around with the controls for both a Mouse/Keyboard setup and a Wired XBOX 360 Controller setup. Surprisingly, I was able to map all the keys pretty efficiently on the 360 Controller (granted, many controls aren't functional quite yet). I was able to set it up such that my X and Y buttons acted as modifiers, such that when they are pressed, one of the analog sticks would control the motion aspect rather than being used for regular movement. My question is, would you recommend using a controller or mouse/keyboard setup when using this build? I recall JPeterson saying mouse/keyboard could work smoothly with SS, but I'm curious if you think the 360 controller would be efficient/optimal, as I'd prefer to use it over the mouse/keyboard if possible.

Hi,
I also have a wired XBOX360-Controller for windows. So far I'm very happy with the button mappings. Just the sword swings needs a mapping option.

I agree, but I fear that aiming projectiles might be very difficult using the analog stick. I haven't been able to test that yet, but if it's being improved then I'm sure it will be very efficient.
It would be enough to be able to "assign" the different "swings" (horizontal, vertical, diagonal) to buttons.
And I'm still trying to get the look arround assigned to the right analog stick. Using the stick like the wiimote\mouse.
The IR/cursor is still very unstable and not very accurate, it's not going to work well until another change is made in the code. At this point I'm trying to complete the bird flying area at the beginning of the game, it's not possible to properly control the bird yet.
Does anyone else notice this bug in the emulated nunchuk?
If you're pressing W to go forward and then hit D to go forward and to the right, it ignores the D command and just keeps going forward.
However, if you try to go forward and to the left with A, it works fine.
My button mapping so far for Zelda Skyward Sword:
Nunchuck:
Stick -> mapped to the
Left stick (walking, select, ...)
Z -> mapped to the
Left trigger (lock on, ...)
C -> mapped to
Press down Left stick (looking arround, ...)
Shake -> mapped to
Left bumper (roll, raise shield, ...)
Wiimote:
A -> mapped to
A button (run, confirm, ...)
B -> mapped to
X button (item, ...)
- -> mapped to
Y button (item, ...)
+ -> mapped to
B button (map, ...)
1 -> mapped to
Start button (help, ...)
2 -> mapped to
Back button (gear, ...)
Free:
-
Directional pad
-
Right stick +
Press down Right stick
-
Right trigger
-
Right bumper
free for "looking arround", "sword swings", ...
I just want to give people some ideas.
I'm having trouble binding a controll to the forward thrust. I've got all the slashes working properly, however i can't figure out what to bind to do a thrust. any ideas?
i had it working on the first build in this thread by binding them to the 'shake' inputs, but with the new update i can't figure it out
