Will it be merged in its current state? I don't know your policies for that.

is there suitable config to play harp on xbox controller? right now i manage with mouse , but i dont like to change settings midgame
After extensive testing with mouse and keyboard I can conclude that this, while it might be working on conceptual and coding level, actually using it is terribly hard without a gamepad or real wiimote. And my god it's impossible to use various sword attack type quickly with keyboard and mouse. Maybe I have a bad profile, but as of now it's unplayable without major headaches,

Forget about the mouse, it doesn't at all work reliably. Try binding the slashes to four keyboard keys instead (like I J M L or so). This works very reliably and comfortably for me.

(11-24-2011, 04:23 PM)Iceus Wrote: [ -> ]dudiolicious can you plz give more info on how to do at with the bird I just can't do it.. I can fly it good up & right & left but I cant go down.

Basically I set it up as this for my control figuration.

To fly i basically used numpad 8+6 to go right, 8+7 to go left, and the mouse to go down. ( by pushing the mouse up)

It took some playing around with but due to that you don't have to be very close to the bird it's possible to complete this mission. Just it takes a bit of strategy due to that the controls aren't refined enough.

The next hard part that I got stuck at is where you take the sword out in the temple.

To do this i switched the wii controller controlls to motion plus+ background input (well i can't rememebr but it was one of the 4 plus motion plus) and then played around with those configs until it eventually worked and i got so happy Smile

hope this helps you guys
I ll try this setup and give my feedback

Yes, and using Fast to actually swing it works. However, raising the sword to the sky can't be done with Fast, and without it, it takes about 10 seconds to raise the sword. Do you know how to work around that?

Assign a hotkey to "Upright wiimote". If you press (tap once, don't hold) it while holding your sword, you'll immediately rise it, performing a skyward charge about 1-2 seconds later. As soon as it's charged, press the key again to disable upright. That's the best method I found. Beating the "octopus" boss is easy with this, fwiw.

Oh, I also recommend enabling "Motion plus fast" and using a trigger for slow actions, instead of having it default to slow and using a trigger for fast ones. I think about 90% of the actions you want to perform are "fast", so there's no point in having a fast trigger.

Hmm, thanks. I played around with what you recommended and it seems firly playable now, guess I'll try to finish the game and see what else comes up.

On page 134 I posted a full set of keyboard-only controls which work okay for the whole game (except the usual difficult parts). Maybe you'll find something useful there.
