I am using xbox config with a ps1 controller and this is my first problem, had no problems with the bird race in the beginning of the game.
Here is a video walkthrough of the puzzle and where I am at, the puzzle I can't do is the one with the 3 symbols, starting at 30 seconds in the video, cant get the fire symbol to the bottom right like the guy is doing, can only get it to the 3 oclock position.

Hey man, I was stuck there for a while too. Using the 360 config posted in this thread (kai something) you need to get to the 3oclock position and then manipulate left and right stick with R2 held. I can't begin to explain it but keep toying with it. Essentially your left stick is yaw and right is pitch, and you need to make them meet at a digaonal.
Now I'm stuck on the door before the water dragon....you need to draw like a perfect circle and it's nearly impossible. Any tips anyone?
please help me..
i cant swing the sword to the left/right??
am trying to release the bird but i cant cut the rope.. i've tried configurating the gamepad many times but it seems the left/right yaw is not working??

The fastest way to gain altitude with the Bird that I've found is to repeatedly dive and recall the Bird, or use the infinite charge Gecko code.
I've looked at combinations of IR, acc. and gyro input with both the emulated m+ and the real m+ but haven't found an easy way to gain altitude while flying the bird (without an infinite charge code).
I found the solution, with the configuration of Aulis.
Just press left click to activate the fast, and move the mouse sideways as if the Wii Remote.
But this is almost impossible to pass the test of whirlwind attack.
Thanks JP for fulfill my dream and many people really have done an excellent job.
i run the 32-bit dolphin and use one the builds and this was asked before i sorry. when i load skyward sword my mouse doesn't work right the
buttons work but the axises don't work. Any help would be nice.
I play zelda skyward sword with a ps3 controller connected with on a usb port but the cursor moves by itself and is very slow. The area of the cursor is very small and I can not click on confirm button in the name selection at the beginning of the game. What can I do to fix the problem because after the warning screen when the message tell to put the cursor at the bottom of the screen, the cursor works great without slow mouvement or small area but when I start to create a save the cursor don't react properly.
i can't draw circle with mouse to open water dragon door!!!can everyone help me!!i use keyboard/mouse and i'm stuck ......
Hey there,
I have a configuration which works somewhat, and uses only the keyboard for controlling everything. This is a screenshot of the config windows:
Oh, the key on the
Gyro Range 1,
Hide, and
Show buttons looks like an I, but it's T.
Gyro Range 1 is set to 5. The
Yaw Left key is J, not I.
numbersign is the # key.
You can download the file at
http://pastie.org/3087587 (click download, then select the dolphin directory, Config/Profiles/Wiimote, and enter "scummos.ini" (or <anything else>.ini) as file name). Be aware that you
might have to switch the Input Device, and also rename some of the keys if using windows/mac (I noticed that the down arrow is named "Down" for me, but "DOWN" for other people -- so if keys don't work, check if it's configured correctly!).
Here's an incomplete list of how to do what with this setup.
- Running around. Use WASD to run around, Alt_Left to look forward, Spacebar to sprint, and Spacebar+N to roll.
- Basic sword attacks. Use IJLM to swing your sword, press two keys at once to swing diagonally.
- Whirl attacks. Press IJLM, then N an instant later. Works well with a little bit of practice.
- Skyward Strike. Assign a hotkey you like to "upright wiimote". Press the key once to charge a skyward strike, then press it again once charged. Perform the strike with the usual way. Don't forget to disable "upright wiimote" by pressing the key again after you charged the strike!
- Ending Blow. Lock on enemy with Alt_Left, then press # and N. It seems to work better if you press N an instant earlier than #.
- Thrust. Press #.
- Shield block. Press K.
- Disentangle from web/enemy. Press and hold # and N.
- Balance ropes. Repeatedly tap (don't hold!) J and L. To swing on the rope, press I or M.
- Roll / Throw bombs. Hold T, then press I or M for a second to choose between roll and throw. Then roll or throw by pressing I or M for a little moment.
- Fyling the beetle. Press and hold T. Then, fly the beetle by repeatedly tapping (not holding) the arrow keys (yeah, those with the arrows on them). If you want to fly a sharp turn, you can hold the keys; the Beetle will likely lock into flying a curve for quite a while then. To fix that, release T for a short time.
- Selecting gear from the inventory. Press and hold B and T, then move the cursor with IJML (tap, don't hold).
- Aiming the slingshot / looking around / moving the cursor on the map. Press and hold T, then tap IJML repeatedly to move the cursor.
- Flying the bird. See update at the end of the post.
- Playing the harp. This is rather easy, just hold T and use J and K to play. It sounds rather ugly when the gyro range is set to 5, tough, so you might want to use another key than T and assign it to "Gyro Range 2", where you should set the slider to about 15 to 20.
The difficult parts:
- The eyes. This needs a bit of patience; as mentioned by many people, resize the emulator window to be very small, then use the mouse to move your sword around. It took me two or three minutes to get it right, tough.
- The boss keys. Use both IJLM and the arrow keys to rotate the key, pressing T all the time. This is quite difficult, as each of the keys will do something, but not reproducably. The best you can do is finding the key which does what you want, press it for a short time, then release the key and find some other key which undoes any side effects from the previous one. It took me a few minutes per key to get this right, but once you get used to it it's quite okay.
- Pulling out the sword, or the other way round. Select "upright wiimote" in the config dialog, then press M or I.
- Drawing the circle. Wow f*ck, this was really difficult. Anyway, hold T, then try to jiggle the cursor up and down while moving it right by short taps on L. Eventually you'll make it after many tries.
I'm happy to extend this list if you remind me of things I forgot (in case anyone actually wants to use this configuration...).
Greetings
Update: I found better controls for the bird. Assign "Roll Left" and "Roll Right" to "4" and "5". Assign "Gyro Range 1" to "H", drag the handle to "5" (use the arrow keys if necessary). Map "Pitch Fordward" and "Pitch backward" to "G" and "V" (change keys as you like, of course, this is just a suggestion). Now you can:
- Steer left/right reliably by using "4"/"5"
- Gain height easily by pressing "G" and "V"; you'd best alternate between the two in order not to screw the wiimote state, e.g. press "G" for half a second, then switch to "V".
- Point the bird up and down by holding "H" and pressing "G" and "V".
This works very well for me. It's good enough to hit those speed-up-tunnels every time, at least.
all right. finally i can draw the skyward sword and releasing the beam shot
