Try checking "alternate wiimote timing" (aka turn off the wiimote speaker) in game properties.
Things are a little dicey for me when I start up, especially if Accurate VBeam is on, but then it works nicely once in the game. I have an official Nintendo wiimote with built-in MotionPlus (non-TR).
That made a difference, it consistently hits the calibration screen for a few seconds before the communications error now. Alt+f5 might help for a split second occasionally, but basically I can't get past the communication error. Other Wii games work perfectly with my wiimote..
The controller consistently responds (vibrates) to the Refresh in the wiimote config so I know the wiimote is staying connected and dolphin knows it... I just can't figure the issue out =(

wiimote, nunchuck, motion plus, sensor bar and usb bluetooth + postage (12e) = 94 euros...

thank you for your speedy reply.
Can I ask you whether everything is working in Zelda skyward sword with your hardware?
If ZSS did work Would you be so kind as to give me the model numbers on the wiimote, nunchuck, motion plus, I don't think you need a sensor bar in ZSS and I have plenty of Bluetooth dongle?
many thanks, I'm trying Amazon UK now.
I haven't had time to pick them up from the post office yet, but I'll make a new post when I've had the change to try them out. Probably tomorrow
When I start up the game It asks to calibrate. I do that and put the wiimote down. It says it calibrates. Then it says to point the wiimote at the screen and make the hand symbol go to the center. Nothing happens. What should I do? I dont have a sensor bar, but I thought you didnt need one.

The 2 times (yes my game's only gone that far twice) I've gotten that far, I get the same thing, and I have a sensor bar

Seems I'm destined to play on Wiis shitty resolution instead of dolphin goodness =(
Hey there,
I got an original Wiimote with Motion+ inside and a nunchuck.
But as I start the game it asks me to connect the Motion+ and Nunchuck part to my wiimote, although it is connected already.
What am I doing wrong?
I tested other games and the nunchuck works fine, but I didn't have other games to test Motion+.
I got some cheap Bluetooth usb adapter and connected the wiimote with the options I have with Win7.
Help is very appreciated!

No! I wont be trapped in the wiis crappines. PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!

everything worked yesterday but now there is no pointer! what to do? wiimote is recognized in dolphin but when i have to point to the screen there is no pointer
edit: ok, the pointer is just getting constantly uncalibrated. i have to center it after every move. fix? lol, i have to point the wiimote to the side to have links sword in the center but the pointer is in the center when i point at the screen
i noticed i have to put the wiimote raelly close to the sensorbar for it to be recognized
im sure the dolphin people are working to fix this, because as it is wiis best game is totally unplayable on this emulator
I haven't seen any fixes for the Wiimotion+ becoming out of sync after 30 mins - 1 hour of play. Has anyone who's been having trouble with this found a solution to it yet?
Some information on what I'm running for other folks having the problem:
Dolphin 3.0-355-dirty
Windows 7 x64
official Wii remote with a Motion+ add-on
Wireless Sensor Bar from dealextreme (
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/white-wireless-ir-sensor-bar-for-wii-3643)
Bluetooth dongle from dealextreme (
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/super-mini-bluetooth-2-0-adapter-dongle-vista-compatible-11866)
Hope anyone who's been bothered with this can help me out. The post about the out of sync being the same on Wii is not true. I tried the game for an hour or two but it was nothing like it is on Dolphin. The beetle/slingshot won't move and balancing on tightropes become close to impossible.
is there a Rev that is better for SS than others? also lle or hle for audio?
no pointer....
