Hey all.
This is my first topic, and I hope it's in the right place.
I have searched high and low, but I am still confused as to how frame skipping works.
Does dolphin support auto frame skipping, and if so how do I use it?

I have set the framelimit to auto, and set the frame skip option to 1 (all I really need) but it cuts my FPS in half all the time.

I just want it to frameskip when the game in lagging.

Any way I can do that?

Thanks for any help you can give.
Here are my speks just in case, though this problem is not related to them.

OS: Win 7 pro x64
Dolphin r7719 x64
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4670
CPU: AMD Phenom x4(quad core) black edition 3.4Ghz (overclocked to ~3.6)

Settings
Direct3D 11
Dual core enabled
Fog disabled
Internal resolution 2x
Skip alpha pass
Open MP texture decoder.
EBF copies virtual only
Ignore format changes.
no AA
4x AF
EDIT:

Never mind, I figured it out.
Just me being stupid.

New question though:
Is there a way to set the frame skip to lower than 1?
I mean I don't need it to skip every other frame, just maybe 1 out of 10 would get me back to full speed.

Any suggestions?

What game? And are you using the NTSC or the PAL version? The PAL version can run up to 20% faster than the ntsc version of a game since it runs at 50 vps instead of 60 vps.
