your cpu is a great overclocker
, you can overclock it to 3GHz easily
i overclocked my cpu too (see below)
from 3166mhz to 4000mhz .. im able to oc up to a speed of 4500mhz but then it gets real hot^^
at the moment (at 4ghz) my cpu is idle 40°C after 5h prime95 stress test 65°C watercooled !
i overclocked the FBS 333--->421mhz
core voltage 1,192v
ram voltage 1,9v ddr3 1600mhz cl7
I messed up on my wording badly I meant I increased my fsb to 230 from 200 and it was 2.3 ghz why'd I get such a big speed increase though. And most people should have known what I meant

hmm i might overclock my 3.06 ghz dual cores to see if this helps improve the speed of dolphin, but not tonight gotta job hunt a bit.

My Athlon 64 was clocked on 2.4GHz most of the time and had about 20fps average result for dolphin so I don't know how did U do 50fps on 2.3GHz. lol
try crappy old games like harvest moon if you want high fps with your cpu
