PROBLEM FIXED:
The bad news is, anyone with the same problems won't find a solution by checking a special box or anything quick like that.
The good news is, your Wiimote sucks and you should get a replacement...
That's what I ended up doing and it seems to work fine now. I haven't done much - but I did get past that screen - so I'll update if anything else goes wrong (although, I don't expect it to).
Anyway, good luck, and get a replacement.
so the new Wii remote with Motion plus INSIDE does not work?
I just sold my WII since I discovered Dolphin, my old remote worked perfectly but now I got myself a new one and it doesn't get recognized in Doplhin? no workaround?
Im having troubles also, I have the wiimote, nunchuk and wii motion plus and they are all nintendo (not 3rd party) and work in other games.
When i set the dolphin wiimote configuration to real wiimote, skyward swords asks to connect the nunchuk (not recognising the nunchuk) but i can use the wii menu by pressing the home button. But when i use the hybrid wiimote configuration the same thing happens (asks to connect nunchuk) but the wiimote does nothing (when i press the home button nothing happens).
It cant be faulty controllers becuse i have already tried 2 different wiimotes and 2 different nunchuks.
im so confused. Im using an HP pavilion dv 6 notebook PC, intel core i7-2720QM CPU @ 2.20GHz, 8gb ram, 64bit win 7, ati AMD radeion HD 6700M series
Thanks guys
Hi there:
I can assure you SS works just fine!
I am using the following configuration:
HW: HP pavillion DV 6
Wii Mote w/ Plus module inside! +
Nunchuck +
sensorbar ( GameStop) +
Hama Nano Bluetooth Dongle
Dolphin-win-x64-r7718
BUT: after playing some time (dunno maybe a few minutes to half an hour) it seems like the callibration is pretty messed up.
E.g. I have to hold my controller BACKWARDS in order to let Link point the sword to his right...
could you maybe tell me a little about how you setup ur dolphin? like the controller configurations etc.

First I'm pressing the 1- and 2-Button at the same time.
After that I'm pressing the "Verbinden"-Button (engl. connect) and wait a few seconds.
One moment later the Wii Mote vibrates and the blue light under number one goes on.

Just remembered I forgot to mention the following:

@Jabronia
If your talking about the "connect" screen that sometimes appears upon starting the game, then you don't need to worry about your Wiimote configuration as that's not the problem. Sometimes the game will just not detect Nunchuck or the motion+. If you get this screen, either restart the game, or disconnect, wait a few sec, and then reconect the wiimote (if your in fullscreen just use alt+f5 to disconnect/reconnect). You might have to this a few times before it works though.
@Bayonetta
When that sorta thing happens it usually means it's time to recalibrate the Wiimote to restore the proper controls, you'll need to do this every few hours. However, i've noticed that if you just keep your sensorbar turned on instead of turining it off (like i did the first couple of hours i played the game), then you might not need to recalibrate at all.

My Sensorbar is always turned on while I'm playing
Besides it wouldn't be a problem if i had to recalibrate it every few hours.
But the decalibration happens veryoften and very fast. Sometimes after a few Minutes.
I'll further test it in a few hours when I am home.

Yeah it is the "Connect the nunchuk to the wii remote screen". I just cant get passed it and I have all the required equipment. I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting many times and rarely for a brief second it gets passed the connect nunchuk screen but then just drops back to it straight away.
thanks for that info bayonetta but unforunately it didnt get me any further. Although, maybe i require the PAL version of the game since im in australia? because im currently trying to run the NTSC version.
i get the same problems . i get the wiimote+mp+nunchuk but i can't get through either
i press alt+f5 for 1 hours finally i get in the game and played the game everyting is all right
but next time i will press alt+f5 for a long time to play
what i know is the controllers are all right and they can be recognized by chance (1/50 changce almost.........)
