Quote:(approx. 400mhz faster in terms of speed)
Don't use frequency to measure speed. Use the term "is equivalent to" to avoid confusion. Let's say we have a 2.0GHz sandy bridge cpu which is equivalent to a 2.4GHz deneb cpu. That does not mean a 3.0GHz sandy bridge cpu is equivalent to a 3.4GHz deneb cpu (even though it's still a 400 MHz difference in clock rate).

i3 530 @ 3.4GHz is fine with the stock fan, no need for extra cooling crap. Now if he said 4GHz or something, lol.
i5 or i7 won't be huge improvements over the i3 unless you get a quad core. My friend's quad-core i5 emulates like a f***ing boss.
GTX 560Ti is a beast of a card. If you want something cheaper then the GTX 460 is still very good. If you feel like ATI then the ATI 5770 would match the GTX 460.
Thanks for the tips! I am currently focusing on emulation, mainly the Dolphin. I have Starcraft II and it plays smoothly in Ultra setup, but I'm planning on getting Battlefield 3, but not now (I'm playing Skyrim for x360). I don't even know if I can run BF3 with my pc setup
And what about overclocking my gpu too? Will it improve the performance on gaming in general (not only in Dolphin)?

Any CPU with more than two cores running 3 GHz or higher should do, but the faster the better!
Watercooling isn't necessary, and a system can be kept decently cool on air without needing headphones to hear the game. I can advise you on a good cooling setup if you tell me what case you have.
Actually I've never messed with overclocking and stuff, so my cooling setup is the one that came with the graphics card and cpu: the fan. It seems that my i3 will do okay without overheating until 3.4GHz. Above that clock, it will be heated. And overclocking the gpu? will it need more cooling than cpu? Thanks!

thats sensless overclocking the gpu..
they are mostly already working on there safety working limit
and if you overclock.. dolphin wont run faster...

Your GPU should be fine without an upgrade assuming it's adjacent to an empty slot or two to breathe. I use AMD Overdrive's max settings to push my GPUs with minimal risk. Stock cooling will handle that perfectly if you increase the fan(s) to compensate.
As for your CPU there are several options, but I'd like to know what computer case you're using so I can make an educated guess at what size and type of cooler to suggest.
What dannzen said, you can't overclock the GT 240 much because they already have it at almost the max.

The HD6850 is supposed to be AMDs (remember they officially changed their name after the merger) equivalent to the GTX 460 1GB. The 6770 (which is just a rebranded 5770) is much cheaper than a GTX 460.
Woops, my bad. It's been too long since I checked GPUs.
LGFR said he was on a budget so I went with the cheaper one.
That quote should have been a
to split the entire thing. No post editing sucks

I don't know the case model I have, but I'll try to take some pics here and show you. I'm using EasyTune6 from GIGABYTE to tweak the clock of CPU, GPU and there's an option for the fan speed. Is it a good overclock software? Should I increase fan speed?
Here's the program with my setup:

Btw, I increased the clock to 3.33GHz and I tried Smash Bros Brawl. It was noticeable the increase of speed. The stage that I have lag the match of 3 minutes in game time is now 3:30 (it was worse... a 3-minute match would last for like 4 minutes or more). I'm impressed! I think that if I get a core i7 and then tweak to 4.0GHz (althoulgh I don't know if at the clock it would be necessary to have some extra cooling) it would run smoothly every game!
Software OC isn't good , you should oc with bios setting (Startup screen)
Now I'm having an issue in Mario Kart Wii (I don't know if it has some relation with overclocking). I was playing fine and when I exited fullscreen the emulator crashed. And now every time I try to run Mario Kart Wii it crashes in "Clearing Cache Code". I has something to do what I've done?
Go to your User/ShaderCache folder and delete everything in it. It might work.
OC is safe , my e5300 run at 3.6ghz with Intel stock fan 24/7 .Post your dolphin setting !
