You could always lend a hand to the project and do some coding yourself instead of complaining that things never gets fixed.

What was that?? Yeah I thought so.

The developers doesn't sit 24 hours a day and code on the emulator, they have lives of their own and things have to take the time it takes.
Just be thankful for this awesome emulator since it's the only GC/Wii emulator that's constantly being worked on.

It matters because Nintendo specifically requested all retail shops to return the old batch back to them.

That's why it doesn't matter where you buy it, you're going to get a new one that is not supported yet no matter where you buy it.

Yea, sorry I wasn't clear. My apologies.
Just to give all of you guys an update.

I went to Best Buy a few days ago and bought a Wii Remote Plus. I told an employee the problem I was experiencing. The lady said that they do not backstock and they did just get a new shipment. I got a wiimote from the bottom shelf and in the far back. I would never normally buy anything from Best Buy, but in this case I could test it and return it if I had any issues.

I checked the wiimote on my laptop in my car and to my surprise it worked (non TR version). Then I just took my TR wiimote and returned it : P

nice move... did you check for different markings or #s on the box to see if there was a difference?
I have the TR's and the only codes i see on the box are the UPC # 4549689059 the USZ at the very top of the box, then under the top of the box's flap it's a blue background with white lettering saying BFC-RVL-A-WRKA-USZ-C0

Anyone have anything different?

I did check.... unfortunately they are exactly the same on the outside of the box. There is a difference between the model numbers behind where the batteries are. Now I feel really stupid, because I neglected to take down the numbers.
whats the # on the Non TR one you have?
My TR one has:
LMB-RVL-WR/Z-C4
007WWCUL0716
RVL-036

alll 3 sets are under the batteries.
My non-TR gold Wiimote plus is as follows, under the batteries:
LMA-RVL-WR/M-C2
011WWA100012
RVL-036

i'm guessing the LMA-RVL-WR/M-C2 is the model # line, while the middle one is a serial #

When you say Gold Wiimote Plus, do you mean Gold is the color of the Wiimote or is there some type of special stamp on it?
It's the gold one included in the Skyward Sword bundle.
I just noticed at the bottom of my TR box under the Nintendo seal is another code: RVL A WRKA USZ
Anyone have a different code?

I know nothing about programming and I won't invest my time go get into it.

Just stating a fact doesn't mean that I'm not happy that dolphin exists. I am. I guess the people who brought dolphin to life had tons of fun doing so. I'm happy for them.

All I said is: Don't be so sure that it'll be fixed. There are quite some other issues which never got fixed as well (and never will probably).

ok, just so happens i was at Best Buy lastnight and remembered the poster on this thread saying he found a NON TR version at Best Buy in the back of all the other remotes, so I went to the bottom rack and pulled out all the remotes and bought the back 2.

I'll be damned they are not the TR's! woooo

So here are my findings, these are for the black colored Wiimotes with Motion Plus already installed.
The only diffrence you will be able to tell is the model # on the inside of the remote under the battery compartment.
The TR version says: LMB-RVL-WR/Z-C4
The non TR version says: LMB-RVL-WR/M-C0

My suggestion, goto Best Buy or whatever large electronics store is around you that has a LOT of WII motes in stock, buy a few, go out to your car and open one at a time checking for this code. Remember this code is only for the Black one's, I'm sure the other colors have different codes. Find what you need and return the rest.

Are you serious with this? Buy a few? Yeah it's not like they cost money or anything....
And if you buy a few and find out that it's TR and can't turn them back because you opened the package, what then?

Hey Best Buy I think I'll take 5 Wiimotes...heck make it 7

While it might get harder to obtain a non TR model with built in Motion + there is plenty of old Wiimotes and Motion + accessories left on the market.
