I am having trouble running dolphin smoothly on every resolution I tried so I am hoping you can help me set it up, maybe I did something wrong.

Will Dolphin work smooth if I change my CPU to Intel Dual Core E6600 3.0GHz instead of my Core2 CPU 6300 1.86GHz, My graphic card should be ok for most games right (GeForce 8800 GTS 512) also have 5GB ram?
that E6600 will run better than the Core2 Duo but a couple of games will still be choppy here and there, especially with high resolution/AA. Don't be surprised if you get a comment saying "get a new CPU/Mobo" if you are asking to run all games at max speed and resolution. At least OC that CPU to about 3.3Gz or 3.5GHz
you don't need more than 4GB of RAM so don't bother with that
since resolution and AA is more about the GPU (someone correct me if I'm wrong), you should get a getter graphics card, although that might be dependent on your budget

No core 2 duo can run xenoblade or Super Mario Galaxy at full speed consistently.
(Unless you can tolerate audio problems.)
You'd have to overclock pretty heavily.
If you already have the graphics, then just upgrade to Sandy Bridge.
It'll save a lot of trouble.
Alternatively, buy a cooler and get into overclocking.

Overclocking was one of my ideas at first but it's out of my skill range and I don't have the time to learn how to do this, that's why I figured id just buy new hardware and be done with it.
