Well start with trying this:
1. Reboot PC
2. When computer is restarted, press F10, Del, Esc or what it is for the BIOS Setup to start.
3. Select "Advanced" if that exists
4. Select "Power on Option" if that exists
5. Select "Hyper-Threading" if that exists
6. Change the status from Enable to Disable.
7. Save changes and exit.

Turns out disabling hyperthreading on my laptop isn't such an easy task..
Got any other ideas
