Does anyone know where I can find a good button layout for new super mario bros (wii) using my xbox 360 controller? I've been looking everywhere and cant seem to find one. PLEASE!!
Here is the layout I use for New Super Mario Bros for my xbox controller.
Good setup but unclick the sideways controller button and switch x and y, program a button...
Don´t bump old threads like this one...
This old thread helped me setup my controller I bumped it to help the next person like me who googles and finds this and has a incomplete answer like me. The pic above has mistakes. Like he didnt even program A, he clicked sideways which screws up your running anyway this is a proper setup. Hold on loading up the image.
You need A button to enter Levels!! So PROGRAM YOUR A BUTTON!
someone should delete or edit that pic above first time users will b confused when they cant enter games
p.s. I changed my A button to press down right joy stick so you dont bubble in multiplayer! I am newb so yeah hope this helps some other noob, will edit pic as I learn more.
Sideways Wiimote actually isn't wrong. The game has sideways wiimote (no-nunchuk) support, and wiimote+nunchuk support. His control configuration is for a single wiimote set sideways, yours is for a wiimote plus nunchuk. There isn't really anything wrong with his setup, honestly. Well, he binds the dpad to an analog stick, which is a crime, and sets IR and the dpad to the same joystick, but hey, you do both of those things too!
In fact, yours is weirder than his - dpad, IR, and shake set to the same joystick, A and 2 on your A button, home on back and minus on shoulder L (wut), weird shake set up, and you have a nunchuk setup without showing the nunchuk window (big no no for these suggestions).
Frankly, if I was going to be doing deleting, I'd delete both suggestions.

Yeah looks like mines a work in progress it worked great in single player, now with 2 players I keep bubbling. If I get it figured out I will edit my pic and if I don't ill delete it. Hey a screen shot of your setup would be nice. With the other guys I walked sideways when I pressed up and could not join the game which really confused me since I never owned a wii and I just dled this dolphin. After unclicking sideways I could move normally. I was hoping to help.
Your right about the dpad!
Edit omg the nunchuck I had no idea it was screwing me up! I dont rem ever clicking it
Edit added a new one but I really do not know what everything does, for now this is working
