RGB is good ofcourse.
Yellow was good too! You finally get to have Pikachu follow you all over the place.
Only played Gold. And yes, those were even better than the previous games.
Never played Diamond and Pearl...
Ruby and Sapphire were great too, if not, better than Gold etc.
That's where I quit
@Kernel
Woah, I've missed those. Crystalis looks pretty fun, almost like Zelda but a little more fast paced.
The NES gems IMO are Faxanadu and Battle of the Olympus. 2 OVERLOOKED games.
Good games yeah. SNES got great games but NES did too. What a pleasure to read this thread thanks guys it reminds me so many good "old" moments

Street Fighter... a game that was once good, but now its just GARBAGE.
Killer Instinct is really the better game. (I played the N64 only) Unfortunately they haven't continued the franchise...
Don't tell such blasphemous words
SFII is a cult game. A lot of "modern" fighting games (all of them?) have been influenced by this game10-28-2012, 08:42 PM
Time to dust of my old thread!
I have recently got a chance to play a rare version of Castlevania, Vampire Killer for the MSX2
It's old, it's Castlevania and it's definitely RETRO!!!!
Although it sucks pretty heavy compared to the NES version it's a great nostalgic moment nevertheless.
Here's a gameplay video of how it looks, not mine though:

This is what I live for, RETRO GAMING and may you forever be eternal.

Wb Maverick had a nice vacation?
I recently beat the NES version too. Man that was a lot of fun and frustration.
I never said the whole Street Fighter franchise sucked... only the ones that come after SF2 from the mother titles.
SF3 was pretty cool when I got to play it. Loved the smooth animation and parry system.
But SFIV and now TekkenXSF and SFXTekken are pure milkery.

It would be excessively to say that I have been on a vacation
I have been working and living my life, playing games too of course. As for Vampire Killer, the game isn't that different from the NES version but has rather another layup.
You're in smaller areas and have to find skeleton keys in order to progress, after three areas it's a bossfight and it's basically the same bosses as the NES version have to offer.
This version have a slightly resemblance to Metroids non-linear design and also laid the foundations for the open-ended action-adventure platform gameplay later seen in Castlevania II: Simon's Quest
The game on it's own is a treasure.

Best Castlevania game ever. With Symphony of the Night of course. Both have this RPG side really delightful.
Symphony of the Night is often considered as the best Castlevania game. But a lot of guys should try Simon's Quest. The precursor for me

For me, Symphony of the Night is way above Simons Quest, it's not even a contest.
Simons Quest is very good though.
But I think that despite Simons Quest has RPG elements, that Super Castlevania IV takes the second spot in the Castlevania franchise.
