Yes. Upgrade your hardware to something better. If you can afford it get an i5 2500K ($225) + Z68 or P67 motherboard ($125+)+ DDR3 RAM (at least 4GB, $30+).
If you can't afford that then tell me what motherboard you're using. If you have an AM2+ motherboard then you can drop a phenom II cpu in without the need to upgrade mobo or ram.
