Greetings,

Having issues getting this emulator to run on one of my PCs.

Every time I try and start the emulator the clearing code cache notice comes up in the main window, then the emulator locks up.

The images are known good working dumps that work fine on three other tested PCs with the same media. It's got a 1gb video card with a dual core 3.0 processor and 4gb worth of RAM.

I've tried running it in compatibility mode, running as admin, tried all of the core interpreters, cleared out the caches manually, disabled the sound, adding / removing the MMU speedhack, disabling and re-enabling all hacks and extra options on 6 different versions of the emulator from 2.0 to the most current (starting with 3.0) and always have the same result.

I would also mention that in debug mode attempting to manually clear the cache through the window results in an immediate crash with generic results. The section on the left says "invalid call stack".

Guide me, oh forum folk.

Did re-installing C++ solve your locking issue? I have the same problem with windows XP PRO SP3. Very rarely a game will open but almost 99% of the time it just locks up and pops up the windows error when trying to clear code cash and I have to open tast manager and kill off dolphin.

Tried reinstalling both of the recommended files - no joy.

Any other ideas?
Also updated the video drivers and cleared out all of the ini's so they were loading back to default. Still not working.

Bump

Still have not been able to find a solution.

Appears the error is an access violation. Does anyone have a list of the full directory tree? I'm assuming it has something to do with restrictions on this machine.

This is the error I get when I try and clear the code cache from debug mode:
