i'm getting 5-6 fps, even at the "please strap in" screen, making this completely unplayable

i'm running amd athlon 64 x2 4800+ cpu with ati radeon hd 6800

settings follow whats listed here using dolphin 3.0
http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/showthread.php?tid=14588
though i did lower the anisotropic filtering to 1x, and kept default texture caching

i get a "clearing code cache" every second or so if that's relevant

oh, i forgot to mention, i did try it with defaults before i tried those settings, 5-6 fps either way

Not to be rude, but that PC is too weak to run something like Xenoblade.
Did you check if you are using HLE or LLE audio?
HLE audio might give some speed.

Seriously, though, for something like Xenoblade I can't recommend anything weaker
than the Phenom 2 x4 955 @ 3.2 ghz. (And even that would stutter, so overclocking ahoy!)

If you can't afford any new parts, then either look into overclocking, or play something less demanding.

GPU is fine, however.
Actually, if you want a really good idea of what kind of power is needed, check the wiki.
(Which will definitely never threaten to stab you.)

i see... could you recommend a game that would be closer to my specs then?
also, i had audio disabled as i heard xenoblade had issues with it
No idea.

Some I might recommend are:

Tales of Symphonia.

Paper Mario TTYD

Zelda Wind Waker. (It's Sandbox-ish...)

These are all fairly lenient on most PC's.

I say tweak some settings and your good to go!

If you try to run Wii games with that you wont get very far past Brawl sadly.

Alright, thanks for the suggestions 8)
