Yeah, something seems fishy, what do you have under game properties of the game
Quote:Something weird is going on, download the official 3.0 x64 build from the main page (not the newer revisions)

Put it in its own folder and keep the settings as clost to default as possible, only change resolution and if needed controls for starters.

Isn't X64 for 64bits systems? i'm running Vista 32 Undecided

But i did something similar i downloaded an older build for testing and the same speed loss happened at the title screen untill i disabled DTK Music, but dropped during gameplay. I didn't touch anything else

All squares, it means undetermined right?
Ztq hack has a square too and Custom Projection hack is disabled.
Then i dont know anymore, try it on a different system or something
Unfortunately i don't have access to a different system, as a last resort i thought about formatting the Laptop because i have a feeling there might be something that could be messing up the comp, it's not just the emulator actually, the old Aliens vs. Predator 2 that should be running flawlessly on this system drops FPSs like crazy depending on where you are there's this map called hive it's virtually unplayable until you leave the insides of the hive.

Then it's probably something hogging your resources like crazy.
yeah i guess i will try checking into the system itself and look for hidden stuff that could be messing up the system, or the speed could simply fix itself all the massive speed boosts i got happened all of a sudden during gameplay.
Have you tried a game booster?
sneak oil
dont use them
game booster?

WOW game booster worked, in fact it worked a bit too well, mission mode's speed increased drastically i tried the third mission which had several small zoids with smokescreens and stuff like missiles flying around in a rather large area, virtually unplayable even when the emu had that random speed boost of before now the mission runs at almost full speed, battle mode also got a nice increase in speed, but for some reason it's still slower then what i saw in mission mode which is weird because the battles are only 2 on 2. I can't wait to try a battle that ran at almost 20FPS back on the cube, i'm sure it must get a nice speed boost with this.
And with this as i expected vs. mode got one hell of a speed up runs twice as fast as it used too with no slowdowns, the only problem is that it seems to turn my laptop into the likes of a heater because the fan went crazy for a bit here, here's a good reason to get a cooler.
