I have been looking everywhere, but I can't find any setting or any help to be able to run games in 760p or 1080p. What do I do to get it working?
Just set your fullscreen/windowed resolution in the graphics setting. 720p is 1280 x 720, 1080p is 1920 x 1080. That fact that you couldn't do this tells me that either you don't know what resolution is (which in that case you should look it up on google and do some reading) or you didn't actually bother to look at any of the settings.

I suggest setting the fullscreen resolution to your actual monitor resolution and not just go for 1080p,though.Also,the real HD setting is Internal Resolution in the second tab.(Full screen res just sets the size of the fullscreen window.)

Well I don't have 1920 x 1080 as an option, the highest resolution is 1600 x 900, I know what resolution is, but I thought HD was an entirely different option, when I run games with higher resolution the quality doesn't seem any different than on an actual gamecube/wii
Trying to emulate at 1080p if your display doesn't support it obviously doesn't make sense.
You'll likely want to use your desktop resolution as the fullscreen resolution (probably the highest res available, i.e. 1600x900). You can enable "HD emulation" by adjusting the Internal Resolution in the graphics config ("Enhancements" tab). In your case it's probably best to set that to "Auto (Window Size)". That will cause problems in a limited number of games, but YMMV.
actually it is fine as long as the frame is downscaled...it will be like really crappy AA

So it isn't the same situation as when I force downsampling in PC games, where it actually looks a whole lot better than any AA?
Nope, it will more likely look as if you were rendering at your fullscreen resolution anyway, maybe even worse.

Ok, I just tried it. It looked quite a bit better than emulating in my Monitors resolution, also distant objects and textures seemed clearer. Sadly I can't compare it to AA on my machine, since the AA-selection in Dolphin doesn't do anything for me^^

Hmm, what plugin are you using opengl or dx? And with what games?
It also depends on the AA. But it'll smooth out the edges (try standing still and looking at your character

)
You can also try to force it via the Catalyst Control Center.
