This is why I haven't bought any EA games for years. There'll be one exception in a couple of weeks which is Battlefield 3 (simply because it's an epic game made by fellow countrymen), but Origin and EA's rigorous DRM process is a load of crap. Especially for games that don't even need any online features to function to a satisfactory level.

Meh. This is too complicated, I don't envy the guys who develop anti-piracy systems

I start to doubt that a piracy proof system is even possible.

there is and its called online verification.
thing is that ppl seem to come up with all kind of weird stories as to why they shouldn't be able to verify their copy using some online client
Just came to say that I got a refund for this Fifa 12 crap, justice have been made.
I stick to my words, I ain't never ever going to buy anymore PC games because I recently read that pirates have no problem at all playing Fifa 12 while we who bought it legally got a** f*****
I hate pirates above anything else, it's thanks to them we get all these DRM and anti-piracy protections.
Back to vacation....
Cracking the game doesn't automatically mean they're pirate, why don't you just crack your legally bought game anyway?

Sadly that wasn't the case.
It was regarding downloading the game alltogether that I've read about and then some.
I have no problems with NO-DVD exe's that makes you skip using the disc after installation.
But it's humiliating that pirates downloads the game and easily bypasses the irritating DRM's while we who buys the game get's smacked in the face.

Didn't one of the assassins creed games have an online verification system that was cracked only 22 hours after the game was released?

cracked and working in online multiplayer?
and there are games that work online only and have very limited use in offline mode (like SSF4:AE before they patched it). so to use the game fully, you had to verify it online.
but then ppl complained for some odd reason and it got removed >_>
