I live in Nigeria, i know a perfect computer hardware store where they import most of their stuff, maybe i can buy online if they dont have anything there, as for my budget or the budget i hope to have is around N150,000 which is approximately, a $1000, wow now that i converted it to dollars it looks really small, anyway it may cost me an arm and a leg but i can probably get $1500

Laptops are not custom rigs, you may be able to select SOME parts from a brand name manufacturer but that's it.

I know that.I thought he was talking about desktops.(i5 2500k)
In America that would be more than enough but over there everything will be significantly more expensive.

Not quite. Z68 and P67 both support CPU overclocking. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGA1155

I was responding to Blaze-xs post not yours. He used the word laptop in his post.

1000$ is enough, but if you can get 1500$ that would improve your build a lot.

Also this:
Total:1014 US$ (without shipping etc.)

CPU:i5 2500k
Mobo:GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD4-B3
RAM:G.SKILL Ripjaws X 8GB (2x4GB) CL9
Hard Drive:Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB
Optical Drive:LG CD-DVD Burner
PSU:Seasonic S12II 620W
Case:NZXT Phantom Black
GPU:MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk

That's without an aftermarket cooler though.

@NV:o lol
Keep in mind his prices will be a lot higher than ours. $1,000 worth of parts in the US will probably cost him $1,300-1,600. And he may have limited availability.

Stupid question, does this mean building a rig only applies for desktops only
Yes. The only thing you can add to a laptop is more memory. You cannot buy all the parts for a laptop and put it all together like you would a desktop.

You can also replace the CPU and GPU on some laptops.(Clevo ones come to mind)
