I meant, why get a Dell and ''build from it'' when you can just get a custom rig in the beginning?

I've never had a custom rig so dont know how it goes, but which laptop would you suggest as a custom rig, as in i need something that i can dump hardware down its throat and if its still not powerful enough, stick it up its........motherboard

"Laptop" and "custom rig" in the same sentence without the word "not", never seen that before.
Laptops are not custom rigs, you may be able to select SOME parts from a brand name manufacturer but that's it.

i'll look into the how much it'll cost09-26-2011, 05:58 AM
You'll need to rob SEVERAL banks to afford that.
My recommendations:
CPU: i5 2500k
HDD: Samsung spinpoint F3
Cooling: Anything by noctua
Motherboard: P67 or Z68 Asus board
Memory: 2 x 2GB from any reputable brand
CD/DVD: Any will do
Case: Any Cooler Master midtower case
Power Supply: Antec 550 watts or higher
Graphics card: Whatever you can afford
You need to set a budget first and tell us what country you are in.
