I see no reason to get a GTS 250 over a GTS 450.
Unless you're really tight on the budget, get the GTS 450.
The 450 supports DX11, has a better OC'ing potential and runs a bit cooler.

If not, see you in 5 hours.
Well, I see that you're also going to purchase a Tuniq TX-2 Cooling Thermal Compound.
The Intel stock cooler already has some paste pre-applied to it.
Other than that, looks good. Let us know how it performs.

If I wanted to overclock the 2300 to say...
3.3 ghz, how would I go about doing so?
What would the "auto" internal resolution be on a gts 450?
You can barely overclock a 2300. Like I said before, you'll want the K model of it.
Also, I don't really recommend overclocking on stockcoolers.
Get an aftermarket cooler when you're ready to do so.
The auto (Window Size), like it already says, will put the internal resolution equal to your windows' size.
Quote:(When I use the i5 2300, I'll find that more games run full speed than those that don't)
Definitely. There are only a few games that require an overclocked sandy bridge cpu.
Quote:As a side note- how do you overclock a NON-K Sandy Bridge i5?
You don't. The only way to overclock a non K edition is to raise the base clock until it no longer boots and you start crying over your $600 paper weight.

It will do fine. Your GTS 450 should be able to handle 4x IR in most games and 3x IR in all games. Auto adjusts the IR based on your windowed/fullscreen resolution. At 1366 x 768 it will set it to 2x. At 1920 x 1080 it will set it to 3x, and so on.
I would personally go with that GTS 250 considering how rediculously cheap it is. It will perform about the same as a GTS 450 and will allow you to spend more money elsewhere.
Too late.
I ordered everything.
I got:
Evga GTS 450
i5 2300 + Asus P8H67 PRO/CSM
2 x 4 gb Corsair VENGEANCE RAM
Antec 550w Modular
and a Mini Hdmi - Hdmi cable.
Any other advice or anything?
(Yikes, I guess I won't overclock, then.)
Not really (as evidenced by the reviews).

Can't win 'em all I suppose.
It's what's on the inside that counts!
Anything else?
Thanks Oh-so-very much for helping me with this build.
Seriously, you probably doubled the amount of usability and entertainment I'd of gotten from this rig.
