What settings do you play at anyway? (Maybe there's something else to sacrifice to keep your shadows Tongue)
everything high/ultra except for shadows. and no, even on lowest they are shit because skyrim looks like shit on alot of places (even on ultra). but its a good game and other places look stunning so im cool with it.

also, unless my pc can handle everything of a game and do more then 60fps, only then ill enable shadows. i always disable shadows
Quote:@ Your screenshot. Verrona huh? :3 What race/class are you playing? (I'm guessing female breton mage :3)

Screenshot isn't mine. My character is a male dark elf destruction mage.

Quote:Still blocky shadows? Increase the iShadowMapRes to 4096.

I have, that's why I listed it in my earlier tweaks list, but it's still terrible.

Quote:And use this to limit your FPS instead of vsync. (I don't use it. I like seeing objects fly at 160mph)

What are you talking about? Higher framerate doesn't make objects move faster.

Quote:You can fix the x and y-axis sensitivity by going in Skyrim.ini then add the following under [Controls]. (If there is none, make one).
fMouseHeadingYScale=0.0200
fMouseHeadingXScale=0.0200

Already listed this tweak earlier in the thread. This tweak will not fix the problem. y axis sensitivity will still vary with framerate. You have to adjust the two axis sensitivity scales until they feel similar. For me I had to set Yscale to 800 and leave Xscale at 200 in order for it to feel right. If I use 200 and 200 the x sensitivity is WAY higher than y sensitivity.

Quote:I doubt it. The framerate problem is when your FPS is really high and you move your mouse. Setting it to low would make it worse lol.

No. The "framerate problem" is the y sensitivity changing with framerate. Which does not happen if shadows are disabled according to several users.

Ah, a mage, had one aswell. Made a Nord dual blader now.

That's odd, increasing that makes it really clear (if you're really close to a shadow).
You can also decrease the shadow distance, which will make it even clearer, but there'll be alot of pop-ins.

Yes it does. I generally float around 100-300fps indoors, and taking one step, accidently touching an object makes it fly all over the place and damage me and everyone Tongue

Ofcourse, it doesn't entirely eliminate the issue, and yes, that's just to give the tweak so that you have to play with it yourself to get a good result.

Yes, that's what I meant, but it's not only the Y-axis. It also applies for the X-Axis. I can't imagine it getting fixed by disabling shadows. (Unless they're lagging either anyway). Disabling shadows would mean more FPS which would make the problem even worse.
They should've synchronized it by time instead of FPS count.

Also, those who don't like the shadows that move after a few seconds, try this:
Put this in Skyrim.ini under [Display]
fSunShadowUpdateTime=0
fSunUpdateThreshold=0
@Lamedude

Yeah I saw that, but I like how it is right now. Using that is kinda gamebreaking.

Unless you're talking about speed hack.

This has nothing to do with frame rate and vsync.
You clearly haven't played the game then.

A higher FPS breaks the game. A lot of flickering, animation issues, objects that fly all over the place when you touch it. Using vsync will force your FPS to 60, thus you will not experience it.
I do play Skyrim in 1080p and 60fps and vsync enabled on my PC but I don't see those such issues...

Do you see that?
Nice, if you're not experiencing issues (lots of framedrops etc) keep vsync on, otherwise turn if off. The tweak is somewhere in the thread.
Oh sorry I thought you mean "unplayable" lol

English isn't my main language. >_>

Oh yeah I got it what you mean by turning off vsync. It's to make speed hack work right?
