Sorry to be picky, but I'd rather download as little as possible due to my currently limited hard drive space.

The way I see it, if there is a Service Pack 3, it would be defined as a certain set of updates, even if those updates are separate. My point here is that if I'm having a DLL problem, what sorts of updates should I download? Can you think of any examples?
You should just be able to use the link I gave you that is for IT admins - they wouldn't want to run windows update on every pc. The install should work for you. From what I can tell it doesn't require anything special except to have SP 2 already installed.

You can also get an ISO download of SP3 from Microsoft HERE
Eh don't use the network one. Get this Service Pack ISO, then either burn it to disc or mount it and install SP3.

Ohhh, okay--I thought that was some special version of SP3 just for IT admins, and not something I would actually want. I'll begin the download on that.

Hope it works :S

EDIT: Okay omegadox, I'm downloading that one. Now, I'm confused...I thought ISOs were for Dolphin?

That's the same ISO I linked him to - ( I also tried the .exe installer for admins on my wife's machine - all went a-okay - so he should be good either way)

Hope everything works itself out... Smile

ISO's are disc images. Best example I can think of is they're like a .ZIP or .RAR file. Only you can't just click on them and extract the files. You mount the ISO using a program like Daemon Tools where you can read the disc image via a virtual drive.
as i told you in earlier, it is totally different Directx Installation and Directx Updater. to update it, you need legal microsoft windows license.

Didn't know that, envisaged. In terms of installation, ISOs sound pretty inefficient in comparison with binaries if you have to burn them to disc just to use them...
you can't run dolphin anyway with only an AthlonXP.

Are you saying that Dolphin just isn't compatible with Athlon processors in general?

(Installed the SP3, and it still doesn't work.)
