The A6 - 3400M will win in any heavily multithreaded application since it's a quad core (such as the benchmark SS linked). But the i3-2310 will win in any application with 2 or less threads such as dolphin. If you go with a sandy bridge cpu remember to get a laptop with a discrete gpu (actually that applies to the A6-3400m as well but most laptops with that cpu tend to have a discrete gpu in addition to the integrated gpu).

Although quite frankly I would recommend saving up money and getting a higher end sandy bridge cpu if you really want to play the heavier games like SMG2.

Well I'm just sorta looking for a (somewhat) cheap laptop that could at least play some GameCube games on Dolphin, my desktop (although not portable) can handle stuff such as SMG2 just fine.
But thanks for the information.
eodeth: Before you consider buying this AMD laptop (if you are considering it) post a list of games that you want to play and I'll tell you if it's going to work well or not. I wouldn't want you buying this because I said so or just because I have it and I wouldn't want you expecting it to work well with every game. I've played most games, just ask and I'll gladly tell you if it will play at good speeds or not.
